Jeremy was born in Malaysia to an army family and spent most of his childhood in Germany before going away to school in York. After studying German and Drama at Exeter University he spent a year teaching English in Spain before returning to England to do a post-graduate training course at Drama Studio, London.
Since then he has worked mainly in experimental theatre, performing in Japan, Russia, Egypt, Canada, Lebanon, Australia, and the USA as well as in nearly all the countries of Europe. For many years he has been a regular collaborator with the acclaimed performance group Forced Entertainment.
Conventional theatre work includes playing Henry Higgins in a world tour of Pygmalion and the nuclear physicist Werner Heisenberg in the West End production of Michael Frayn's award-winning play Copenhagen.
He is probably best known to the wider public as the freaky brain guy in the government-backed FRANK cannabis adverts.
