John Gilmour

John trained at Webber Douglas.  He is a Londoner with a wealth of theatre experience both here and abroad.  He has toured in No.1 tours including, The House of Stairs and Intent to Kill for Bill Kenwright and Pride and Prejudice for The Good Company.  John has worked at the Chester Gateway and Southampton Nuffield repertory theatres in Hapgood and All's Well that Ends Well respectively.  He has also toured all over Canada in productions including In the Penal Colony, Confessions of a Justified Sinner, A Man with Connections, Ghosts and Closer. He has also appeared on the fringe in London most notably playing Jimmy Shields in the critically acclaimed The Tailor Made Man.

On Television John has played roles for the BBC in Eastenders, and Murder in Mind and has also played the character Alan Hook in Hollyoaks for Channel 4.

On Radio John recorded poetry readings for many broadcasts of Something Understood for Radio 4 and was also the face of Life Select life insurance in TV commercials.  John also has many corporate films to his credits including those for British Waterways, various car dealerships, British Airways and NCR.
