Joe Dias
Joe is tri-lingual, born in Melbourne, of Portuguese heritage and majored in Mandarin at university. He trained on three different continents: Australia: Deakin University (Rusden) and Victorian College of Arts - China: Nanjing University of the Arts - UK: Mountview.

In China, Joe performed mainly in Mandarin in TV programmes and commercials, including the Chinese version of Friends. He wrote and co-presented a weekly bi-lingual radio show introducing Australia, which was also broadcast in Japan.

In Australia, Joe performed in over 20 community theatre plays and pantomimes, portraying a wide variety of dramatic and comic characters. He was awarded Excellence in Acting at the 2017 Mansfield Festival for his performance as Dimitri Papavasilopoulos in The Stanley Parkers by Geraldine Aron.

At Mountview, Joe appeared in As You Like It, Rabbit by Nina Raine, Widows by Ariel Dorfman, and a new work, Trenches by Richard Vincent. He also devised his own 45 minute Immersive Theatre piece.

Joe has Master Degrees in Applied Linguistics and Management, is halfway through a law degree and enjoys swimming and keeping fit.
